I FINALLY had a trio of Pine Siskin at our Bloomfield feeders, last
evening. All 3 were in the thistle feeder this morning, as well. I do
have a single Fox Sparrow around, too.
Siskin is not a new yard bird, but I usually only see a single straggler
during spring migration and they hardly ever spend any length of time
here. I have plenty of food, so I hope they stay.
Feeders are really busy, but nothing else out of the ordinary. There are
definitely more Bluejays, daily, than I ever remember seeing. I've gotten
really brief glimpses of a neat looking partial leucistic Junco, but it's
unbelievably skittish.
Now if I could get some Evening Grosbeak to show back up, or even a lifer
Redpoll. Time will tell....
