TWL: RE: March 24th update
Tue, Mar 26, 2002 4:53 PM
The one thing I have found on coating systems (as well as every other aspect of this boat that I have sought advice on) is that if you talk to ten different professionals or vendors--you will get at least 20 different "do it this way or die" opinions.

RE: TWL: ratchet crimper
Tue, Aug 6, 2002 4:52 PM
Sometimes I crimp it in the next smaller die to get a firm fit. Anyway I find the ratcheting crimper easier to use than the inexpensive "plier" type. For big wire lugs, I use the Ancor "hammer on" crimper. Its inexpensive and works well. With Ancor lugs, I can use a big pair of pump plier to sqeeze it rather than hammer on it.

TWL: Decrepit Genset:What to do?
Fri, Nov 1, 2002 12:46 PM
Although you may not NEED a genset regularly, they are a "necessity" on those occassions where your electrical usage exceeds your expectations, such as accidently leaving some device operating and you batteries "die". Or a malfunctioning device such as a frig thermostat which does not shut off as expected.

I started doing this for bilge pump wiring that was close to the bilge water, and liked it so much I continued with it on all wiring. Regards, Andy Andy & Linda Woods Grand Folly 1970 Grand Banks 36 Classic Georgetown, MD awoods@surfbest.net

TWL: A bit off-topic, but...

Next fishing hole, the engine wouldn't crank at all. Got it going with hand start. Didn't want to ruin a good day of fishing! It's not easy hand starting a 70 four stroke and I wouldn't recommend it as a backup. About the third fishing hole, had a real hard time getting the engine going again and if I went to idle for more than a second, it would die.

(I always want to type GoldFinger...for some reason, No Mr Bond, I expect you to die!) If that fixes the preview for you, could you post the info from Help/Library-Info, it often points to a graphics driver problem (different to the CGAL issue). You could try updating the driver.

Long period, low-amplitude noise burst in receive during active TDMA operation (B200mini)
Mon, Sep 26, 2016 7:43 PM
Hi All, I have built a TDMA system that uses the B200mini. In doing a simple test to look at processing load for transceiver operation (B200mini transmits when it is told, otherwise is receiving), I noticed an interesting effect.
