But we all know that some birders won't, just as some with cameras won't.  I know of no solution to that problem, but I believe that it is best addressed by increasing awareness rather than trying to hide birds that are so distinctive and not hiding themselves. Roy Harvey Beacon Falls, CT

TWL: Transducer Installation - Thanks
Mon, Jul 24, 2000 4:25 AM
Thanks to all those who offered advice and solutions for installing a depth sounder transducer inside the hull. I'm sure all would have worked, but tried the simplest approach first, which was offered by Po Chang, i.e. after choosing location, cut the bottom out of a simple plastic food container and silicone it to the hull.

BTW, you no longer have to have a HotMail account for MSN Passport, you can sign up for a "NetPassport" quick and easy, once and for all, using any of your existing regular mail accounts. It's free, it's easy and it does open up a lot of good stuff for ya. Capt. Joe boat@look.ca Rex poledriver@msn.com

Re: [time-nuts] HP 5371A problem
Fri, Aug 8, 2008 11:53 AM
On the 5370, that was easy because the boards have relatively large holes compared to the socket pins, and there is no ground plane, so it was easy to unsolder the pins with the good desoldering tool I have access to at work.
