TWL: Details of Accident Quilieutte River Washington
Tue, Sep 4, 2001 1:28 AM
Anthony's character comments that after accidents most people die of embarrasment. What he did not get across is that they die of it because they made a mistake they tried to correct by themselves and then got themselves in even more trouble. And the Shock of the mistake and the embarrassment kills them.

Re: T&T: Important - Attention All Foreign Flagged

You have to keep in mind that there is even more to all this and I don't have time to write a book about it. The bottom line is that things have not changed a lot, but Customs is being a little more methodical about enforcing the reporting requirement. Mast Shipping Chicago to Mobilie
Wed, Apr 5, 2006 7:50 PM
I don't recommend putting your mast back up until Mobile. You aren't going to do any sailing before that anyway. The cost difference in shipping between Chicago and Mobile or Chicago to Hennepin is minimal when you consider the possible problems down the road. Anyone visiting Mobile Bay and in particular, Dog River, (Mobile, AL) needs to be very careful when traveling during low tides. The reason? This area is full of crab traps, some with re-rod reinforced cages, that have had the markers cut off because of accidents or on purpose. Most of the crab traps are marked with white floats, and easy to see.
