Re: How to round the top inner and outer edges?
Sun, Sep 3, 2023 11:57 PM
Change the line down(1)offset_sweep(inside, h=H+1, top=os_circle(r=-2),extra=1); to down(1)offset_sweep(inside, h=H+1, top=os_circle(r=-2,extra=1)); The first version should work, so when I found the bug I fixed it...but the fix isn't out yet and I forgot to switch things around to dodge the bug when I posted the code.

BUT, at the top of the hill are two stores to die for. The first and my favorite, is Zabars, which is a deli with more cheese in one place than could ever be thought possible. The other, just across the street is H & H bagels, the worlds best!!! Then, you are close to Central park, a simple (and cheap!)

The stink starts when the 'good' bacteria die and the anaerboic bacteria grow. So I wonder if the introduced oil might harm the good guys - e.g., by creating a film on top of the water which inhibits oxy exchange(?) >Either way, I try to make sure that sort of >stuff does not get pumped overboard. Agreed.

TWL: Keeping Power tools on board

I usually coat the tops of my planer, saws, etc when I am expecting to be away for a while. Never any rust on anything when I get back and I live on the Gulf of Mexico and my tools are 30 feet from the edge of the water. Rustless in Florida, docmoss MT44

TWL: Don't take us too seriously on wooden hull criticism...
Mon, Oct 6, 2003 5:02 PM
In fact, on top of my tupperware hull I've got enough teak to varnish tp just about qualify as at least a half woodie! I'll bet my neighbor didn't know that if he had put his boat back in the water, his quarter inch open seams would have swelled up before he sunk, providing he kept the crane operator happy, right?

It will die of sulfation before you wear it out (kinda like diesels and pleasure boaters). Since it is up top, maybe let it run the anchor light, too! Jim In a message dated 5/3/2009 12:01:07 A.M.

Re: [time-nuts] Hydrogen Maser KIT! Update #1
Sun, Nov 2, 2014 11:39 PM
Having a fragile bulb coating to deal with on top of everything else might just be more than can be dealt with. It is worth knowing that active masers have a span for how the hydrogen in-flux will make it oscillate or not. Too little or too high, and the oscillation will die off.
