Hello Ontbirds, The following were observed this past weekend at our cottage 10 west of Chesley, on Brant County Road 14 near Deer Creek.

I saw this wonderful bird this Monday morning on five different occasions, between 9:30 and 10:30a.m. It was sharing the feeder between alternating visits of adult male and female Ruby-throated Hummingbirds. As of 8 p.m., this evening, it continues to consume a sugar-water mixture at the same feeder.  

This afternoon I visited the McKinnon Road section of Minesing Swamp. The area is again severely flooded ! Numerous Mallards, Black and Wood ducks with a few BW Teal were found. Many Yellowlegs of both species as well as 1 female Wilson's Phalarope and 2 Solitary Sandpipers. At least 10 Sora Rails were seen or heard.
