This afternoon I visited the McKinnon Road section of Minesing Swamp.

The area is again severely flooded !

Numerous Mallards, Black and Wood ducks with a few BW Teal were found.

Many Yellowlegs of both species as well as 1 female Wilson's Phalarope and 2 Solitary Sandpipers.

At least 10 Sora Rails were seen or heard.

A Black Tern flew over the area as did 2 Sandhill Cranes.

Directions : From the town of Angus (west of Barrie) take Co Rd 90 east to McKinnon. Go north to the end of the road.
