[Ontbirds] 297 Whimbrels at Colonel Samuel Smith Park: Day 10 of Toronto Ornithological Club Whimbrel watch results

Don Barnett, Tim McCarthy and I spent 10 hours on site and recorded five flocks totaling 297 Whimbrels, a surprising number given the late date.

Although this is great at 1 > Hz, it only makes -145 dBc at 10 kHz which is very poor.

[Ontbirds] Phoebe, 10 Golden-crowned Sparrows and others--Hall's Rd., Whitby--April3,4

At least 10 GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS flitted about in the trees along the pathway. On both Apr. 3 and 4--3 Wood Ducks lifted from the waters near the north platform as I approached the latter. Apr.4-- EASTERN PHOEBE, just to the north of this pathway; many Grackles, Red-wingeds, Robins, several Song Sparrows, 2 Swamp Sparrows.

(was 10 MHz Oscillator comparison part II) I'm in need of a PLL too. Is there a common part that is better than the 4046? I assume there must be. Not for high precision work.
