Re: T&T: Important - Attention All Foreign Flagged Cruising

Washington Covers all of the coastline, plus the Strait of Juan De Fuca, the San Juan Islands and Puget Sound. I think you will find that US Customs considers most if not all of the district as one "Port" and you can move around as you want without constant checking in.

Re: X440 - Phase alignment between two USRPs

(2) Try first tuning ±1 GHz off of the desired RF Fc and then to the actual desired RF Fc. Use timed commands for both to be safe; technically I think the first doesn't have to be. While the phase alignment (initial phase offset) will still be random, the phase relationship between any 2 channels should now be repeatable. This applies to 1,2, ....

SIP ringback
Fri, Sep 12, 2008 2:54 PM
Whenever I call my softphone from my mobile, I don't hear a ringback on the mobile. In order to rule out asterisk as the fault, I registered the zoiper softphone to it and suddenly the ringback is there. Can someone please explain what I have to do to tell asterisk to play a ring back to the POTS phone?

Re: T&T: Navigation programs

I run both Garmin Blue mobile and Navionics on my I-pad. BM for active Capt. Navionics for navigation. Blue mobile requires a new chart purchase to update while navionics has free updates for a year and better cartography and features especially on the inland waterways.

DataStorm is a "stationary - mobile" two-way service, which means it can be mounted on mobile vehicles but it can only be used when they are stationary. Most systems are fixed and must be mounted on a stationary structure. Boats require mobile - mobile service but that isn't available and may never be based on my last conversation with MotoSat last May.

I can't tell that I completely cut the top sheet off the deck, replaced the core, put the top decks back on and faired the saw cuts with fiberglass and epoxy.

Re: T&T: Natural roll period?
Thu, Sep 20, 2007 5:13 AM
snip> Any method you can use to get the boat rolling at the dock is all it takes. I can stand on the dock with one foot on the boat's guard. By transferring my weight appropriately I can make the boat roll quite nicely. Any other method you use to make your boat roll will do. Time it from the top of one roll to the top of the next. That's it.
