When did tubes die out? How fast were transistors back then? How fast could you toggle a 12AX7? Wikipedia says the first 7090 was installed Dec 1959. The core memory cycled at 2 microseconds. Was 9180 MHz fast enough that it required a tube so it was simpler to use tubes on the rest of the logic? -- These are my opinions. I hate spam.

The Pineapple Sage may attract vagrant Selasphorus species and it will die with the first hard frost so they would move on then, if I'm lucky enough to attract them. Kathy Van Der Aue Southport, Connecticut Visit my Blog at http://naturaliststable.wordpress.com

Holiday Beach Hawk Watch (20 Oct 2021) 3827 Raptors
Wed, Oct 20, 2021 10:09 PM
Interestingly, all raptor movement seemed to die off by the onset of afternoon as the winds died down. Non-raptor Observations: Non-raptor diversity was standard, with diverse marsh numbers and high marsh counts of waterfowl. Blue Jay movement continues but it remains at lower levels (3720). Crow movement is picking up with today's number at 370.

Re: T&T: Solar panels to replace bimini
Thu, Nov 6, 2014 12:45 PM
We have recently been installing the Solbian flexible solar panels onto truck tarp fabric tops with Velcro strips around the perimeter of the panels. These panels do not require any more framing than does the top. All we do to create an air space is put a 3/4" round fiberglass rod down the center of the panel, bowing it up slightly in the middle.
