In the "system configuration for usrp x3x0 series", it mentions that when using the 10 gigabit nic, we should change the mtu size to 9000. and now i only can use mtu size 1500 for 10gigabit nic. why?

From David Schonfeld: 05/02/10 - West Hartford, MDC Reservoir powerline -- Brewster's backcross Warbler, near first set of poles South of Rt. 44. Lots of regular Blue-wings too along the trail. (Note: Powerline right-of-way has been clear-cut since I last visited.

The bird moved on yesterday after having been seen visiting the feeder from early morning until 10-10:30 am. The bird has not been seen since. IME this is a bird that has moved on after feeding heavily in the morning on a warm temperature day and pushing off mid morning! Lets hope her travels brought her to a more hospitable environment!
