Air compressors on boats

Air tools we used regularly included die grinders, cut off wheels, and air powered 6" grinder/disc sander. Definately worth having aboard, and used frequently. (but never for inflating the dinghy--we had a high volume, low pressure electric pump for that!).

Does all the software that you bought for 3.11 still run on anything you have installed today? Do you really want operating system development to stop? REALLY? When operating systems are updated, apps have to accommodate. Sorta like traveling to England and having to drive on the wrong side of the road. Accommodate or die.

Of course, they are all COB (chip on board), but just from the chip dimensions, I know the chips they use (and the WWVB part seems to be separate from the watch logic otherwise) aren't either one of the above. Strange. Must be a high volume bare die house somewhere that is doing this.

All amplifiers amplify signal and noise, plus distort everything in the process. (fundamental laws of the universe: 1) You can't get something for nothing, 2) You can't break even, 3) You'll die trying) Ideally, you want the amplifier at the antenna and you want the amplification to match the cable loss and no more.

Bob Absolutely lots of ways to die. Such as bad caps, bad variable cap, resistors that are cooked..... I am pretty good with all of those and have experienced most of them. But then comes the point of the dirty bulb and it doesn't have to be the blob. Though you will find the blob most likely with the dirty bulb.
