"I know people love their dear iEverythings but I fail to see how an iOS upgrade that now causes a fault is somehow Garmins issue to resolve. Seems to me just go back to your old OS."

Hmmm....

Response 1: Perhaps it's not the upgrade that caused the fault...  perhaps there's a bug in the Garmin search algorithm that was exposed by the upgrade.

Response 2: And then, there's the "march of progress."  To wit; MSDOS, Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8...  Does all the software that you bought for 3.11 still run on anything you have installed today?  Do you really want operating system development to stop?  REALLY?

When operating systems are updated, apps have to accommodate.  Sorta like traveling to England and having to drive on the wrong side of the road.  Accommodate or die.  The unpleasant fact is, Garmin seems very slow to accommodate.  I suspect the iPad market will stress Garmin's business models for customer responsiveness.

In the Sept/14 Passage Maker magazine, there is an article about North
Carolina. On page # 71, there is a photo of the South Port Marina and in the
photo, a good looking, blue hull boat named Cadence. Anyone know what brand
& model Cadence is?

Likely a Selene-

Flag blue hull, 59 ft., hardtop ?

Cadence is a 2009, if it's the same vessel.
