TWL: No. Eastern Pacific WX

(We will be in the river at ALL times). If I have to we will hole up in Cathlamet or find some shelter to wait for the wind to die down. 30 I can live with, 50 is downright nasty, at 60 I would rather be somewhere else, at 80 or more it's everyman for himself. Re: TWL: Running a Lehman hard (was displacement vs semi....)

If the engine was selected properly so it wont die from the light loads in most displacement boats , its just a fuel burner, . In other words an engine that will live a certain time burning 3 gal an hour will only last 1/10 of that time when run at 30gph.

Old sailors don't die, they just get encrusted with fungus and look that way. Regards, Mike Capt. Mike Maurice Wilsonville, Oregon (Portland).

For example, Hatteras uses a Perko all-around light. Did not notice what the side lights were. A friend of mine sells this line to commercial fishing boats.

Re: T&T: Fuel issues

FWIW, I've had similar problems with my genset, suspected all manner of fuel problems, and finally determined that the Racor filter (220 series, R24S cartridge) was the problem. The check ball in the head of the filter would lodge itself into the housing somehow and block the flow, causing the genset to die from fuel starvation.

discharge cycles vs. Depth of Discharge

If you minimize the D of D. your batteries will probably die of old age. I use the boat for 90 days each year. That is 90 cycles per year. According to Trojans so-called data those batteries will last me 31 years! That is not going to happen. With Calder's data I should expect 9-10 years.

So you're going to get this working or die trying? On Feb 5, 2015 11:53 PM, "Marius Kintel" wrote: > On Feb 5, 2015, at 20:00 PM, Michele wrote: > > > http://sourceforge.net/p/glew/bugs/267/ > > > Ouch.

Just finished reading all of it; still have that feeling (Will Smith, Independence Day) "I have go to get me one of these!" What would really sweeten the deal; tube version of 10811 to go with it. Phase locked of course!

I wouldnt even rely on that..... a coroner in the US recently proclaimed that the cause of death was "spontaeous human combustion" (again) despite all the TV programs debunking that old wives tale.

GPS Units in Z3801A
Tue, Jul 11, 2017 10:27 PM
How often does the front end of the GPS module die? Will the newer 8 channel modules work in the Z3801A or do I need to locate an old 6 channel version? Is there a tells-all web page or message to this list about GPS modules for the Z3801A?
