I have looked over the forecasts for north and south of the forecast
area Grays Harbor, WA to Florence Oregon.
The URL page below has the hightest wind forecasts in Oregon or Washington.
Notice the 50-60 knots for Sunday afternoon.
Also that 50 knots or so is forecast this afternoon and again on Monday.
The temperature here in Portland at 7 AM is about 48 F. This is real warm.
Storms like this with warm air and cold air are real dangerous. Could
develope into a "Bomb".
Could go to 100 knots. Forget the forcast, plan for really bad and hope
for the best.
I'll be in Astoria with a boat Sunday afternoon. If you keep an eye on
the wind speeds like I will at Astoria, you will have some idea what I
am doing, assuming we get there. (We will be in the river at ALL times).
If I have to we will hole up in Cathlamet or find some shelter to wait
for the wind to die down.
30 I can live with, 50 is downright nasty, at 60 I would rather be
somewhere else, at 80 or more it's everyman for himself.

Isn't it great that our weather here in the Pacific N/W is getting
back to normal?
