perko nav lite

Perko is expensive and not of good quality. But the boat mfrs seem to  buy it
up, other wise they would not be in business, IMHO. Personal  experience is
that die-cast interior door latch parts wear out too soon and the  chrome pits.
Expensive exterior chrome plated brass exterior parts have the  brass showing
thru the chrome in places after only a few years. Another good  company
mucked up by greed and Harvard MBAs.

On the plus side, a call for replacement latch parts got them gratis.

Regards,

John
"Seahorse"

Just for the record, there are Perko lights and then there are  Perko

lights.
They do make lights that you often do not see in marine  stores. For example,
Hatteras uses a Perko all-around light. Did not notice  what the side lights
were. A friend of mine sells this line to commercial  fishing boats. Also,
note the 5 year warranty that Perko offers on most of  its lights.

| My experience with boats here in the  Keys, perko is cheap, but a higher
| priced quality nav lite. Probably not  feasible to move the perko from
exposure.
