Quality of free charts being distributed?
Sun, Jun 5, 2005 5:04 PM
Are there regions where the S-57 coverage is inadequate, and you find yourself buying other digital charts to supplement the free ones? My research on the S-57 charts left me feeling a little disappointed in the visual quality, but I realize huge tankers and cruise ships find them adequate, so who am I to complain?

I varied the center frequency fc (LO) in 100MHz steps from 700 MHz to 3000 MHz, measured the power-ratio between fc+f and the undesired replica at fc-f which is due to residual IQ imbalance.

Free boom
Sun, Feb 20, 2011 1:06 PM
We no longer need the aluminum boom and I am offering it to anyone who wants it. It is free to anyone who is willing to pick it up and haul it off. If I don't have any taker in a week or two, it's going to the scrap yard. Regards, Randy Pickelmann Morning Star Lying Clearwater, Fl
