The top of the Berries is particularly nice place to clear customs. Incidentally, anchoring in the bay can be a bouncy affair.

TWL: FW: Sermon from the Mount - Oil Filter & Lines
Sun, Jun 9, 2002 3:21 AM
However, the solution to the mess is easy. Just take a screwdriver and punch a few holes in the top of the filter canister, wander off for a coffee or two, and when you return the filter will have emptied into the sump and can be removed without the usual oil spill.

Eventually I will pull off the galley mica tops and replace them with Corian counters. NAMASTE was designed by Steve Seaton and launched April 1979. Her lines are timeless and I guess you could call her "vintage", though most folks think she is a relatively new boat. Best--Michael Oritt Durbeck 48--NAMASTE

It was not particularly cheap but a very neat, fairly easy way to go. It was fabricated by Embree Welding in St. Pete. (Not the same as Embree Marine here.) Dan Stone M/V Slow Dance Albin 43 St. Petersburg, fl

The boat easily cruises at 6.5 knots at 2000 RPM and a top speed sustained speed of 11.4 knots and WOT speed of 15.2 knots. There is possiblity of larger diesels to get speeds of 15 knots sustained cruise.

I have been thinking about installing two geared hand winches on the aft cabin top at the cockpit for the boom and fall operation. Could you describe the double-sheaves that you are using? Thanks, Andy Andy & Linda Woods Grand Folly 1970 Grand Banks 36 Classic Georgetown, MD. grandfolly@hotmail.com

Re: T&T: Furuno 1834c Radar - Options Any opinions on which to select

If the PC goes out I can plugged it into my lap top (loaded with the same software) display and control the radar from it...so I have a certain amount of easy backup. If the scanner/magnetron goes out I'm on visual ...just as if the dedicated stand alone goes out.

You might also be able to put a finished 'backing' block on top of the headliner and bolting right through the whole structure. Bob Chateau De Mer 1981 Hatteras 48MY
