Features of a Precision Clock?
Thu, Oct 5, 2006 7:26 PM
If the input frequency fails then all the fields that can blink do blink and the clock stops. Pressing and holding Right or Left for a few seconds clears the blinking and restarts the clock using the input frequency that was selected at power up.

Stamoid?
Mon, Mar 29, 2010 5:44 PM
Local canvas guy is recommending Stamoid for my tuna tower tops. There will be a buggy top on the top of the tower & a full top over my helm area, all over the aluminum pipe work. The old was weblon & after 22 years has finally fallen apart. How good is Stamoid & what type of life can I expect from it?

A friend who just got back fr. a year long trip to the Bahamas and all the way to Venezuela ( on a CHB 45 just like CCRIDER) cautioned me that a heavy wind could rip the inflatable off of the platform.( You need not ask just how he knows this.) He suggested and I did what he said, I mounted two 6 inch cleats on the top of the back rail .

Re: [time-nuts] Precision DACs (was: NCOCXO anyone?)

The drawback is, that high loop frequency (something around 10-100Hz is the minimum required to filter 1/f noise) is not that easy to achieve. It requires carefull design and makes things generally a lot more expensive.

Cycle slips will be easy to see in data (20 ms or 16.67 ms steps) so compensation and counting is quite easy to do in post-processing. It could be interesting just to monitor the phase of the L1, L2 and L3 phases of the house. :) Cheers, Magnus
