Connecticut Bird Atlas Late Winter Surveys

In this survey, 5 to 10 localities are selected to represent the range of habitat types within the block, and they are visited for timed one-hour periods. If 5 localities are identified, visit each spot twice in early winter and again in late winter.

July 10 - A trip starting at Rock Point Provincial Park (which is on the north shore of Lake Erie 50 km west of Fort Erie, Ontario, and Buffalo, NY, at the source of the Niagara River) and traveling east ward to Fort Erie, resulted in 10 shorebird species. At Rock Point P.
