Chestnut Hill (Litchfield, CT) Hawk Watch, 10 Sept

We only put in a few hours at the Chestnut Hill (Litchfield, CT) hawk watch today, 10 Sept. Except for a brief period between 1 till 2 PM (EDT) heavy cloud cover. The hawk flight was very slow. Osprey 2, Northern Harrier 1, Cooper's Hawk 1, and Broad-winged hawks 4. Had five eastern bluebirds on the phone line by the hawk watch.

Timed between 9 and 9:10, 20 visits by titmice to isolated peanut feeder (no other birds).  There 5 (maybe 6) titmice regularly at four feeders the other side of the house.  The peanut feeder will be empty by noon.  Do the math! Angela Dimmitt New Milford
