Re: T&T: fender covers

Huge selection, including all kinds of prints (colleges, teams, camo, etc). ~$5/yd. Doesn't last very long, but looks cool and adds color to the typical refrigerator white boat. Seam on the bottom and top for the drawstring, one to make the cylinder (roll the fender on the material for size), and BAM - fender condoms!

All others were much higher, but that was a year ago, so check around. The cost does create some heart burn, so DIY definitely makes sense, as it will save you a professional service call on top of the price of the part. Take a picture of your electrical connections before you un-install anything.

Bought and installed it (myself - easy/peasy) before starting the inland portions of the loop. Although we have an onboard WiFi system, you can link all your devices to the XB-8000 via its built-in WiFi, USB, NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000. Adding it to an existing WiFi system adds even more flexibility.

Mailing-list 830 subscribers, the hard-core ;) Forum 1785 Members (tho since a Nabble change ~2y ago, those not on the Mailing-list can't post) and 2448 Registered users (confirmed emails), and 'all users' 2907. I doubt many people bother to remove their accounts on the Forum. I see intermittent Mailing-list unsubscribes.

Most general of all > would be passing an arbitrary module to an extrude function. Yeah, linear extrude with offset would be cool, but the problem is that it's not nearly as easy as twist and scale.  Points can appear and disappear during the offset, and so there's no straightforward connection from one layer to the next.
