Chester, 10/24: Pleased to catch a RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH in our yard this morning, along with a late-season PHOEBE bugging from the low trees. This afternoon, saw at least one PINE SISKIN at the thistle feeders (where there's one, there's more), and two HERMIT THRUSHES browsed on our front lawn.

Chester, 10/20 - Two ruby-crowned kinglets in our yard this afternoon. They both spent a lot of time bugging through the fall asters, goldenrod, and crabapple tree, although they didn't share well, tussling over bugging rights. Like our yard isn't big enough for two tiny kinglets!
