Bimini Tops
Mon, Mar 20, 2006 3:04 PM
We're designing the new Bimini for Cigano and are interested to know what the average deck clearance to the top of the top is. I'm 5'10" tall and what is comfortable to me might not be comfortable to a 6'6" guest. Any recommendations? Larry Cigano, 47' Prairie Sundeck Lying Covington, LA

Worth a nickel?
Tue, Oct 3, 2006 10:42 PM
Since a pound weighs 454 grams and a nickel coin weighs about 5 grams, and there are 90 or so nickels in a pound, each nickel coin should have about 16 cents worth of nickel metal in it at todays prices. Save your nickels. Like gold coins, silver coins and real copper pennies, they are worth more as metal than as currency. Larry Z

A Tale of Unrequited Love Schubert¹s Classic Song Cycle: Die Schöne Müllerin
Mon, Aug 31, 2015 6:13 PM
Schubert’s entrancing music captures all the elements of the storyline: from the cheery celebration of the journeyman’s freewheeling early life; to the confessional lament of a man in love; to the jagged jealousy at the hunter’s appearance; and then to the young man’s final resignation as he releases himself to the rippling water.

TWL: Canvas Top Cleaning
Tue, Feb 18, 2003 1:37 PM
With spring around the corner it will soon be time for us to clean and waterproof the sunbrella top on the boat we've recently purchased. The top is tan and has some mildew. Any advice on how to clean it and waterproof it? Someone locally told me to use Thompson's Water Sealer on it to waterproof it but I can't believe this is really a good idea.
