Note:  The latest word on access to Long Beach in Stratford is that
the No Trespassing rule applies ONLY to the area of the 40 remaining
cottages.  So we are free to bird the long stretch from the parking
down, but have to stay away from the cottages.

From Ingrid & Tom Schaefer:
3/25 & 3/26 - Canaan, 60 Orchard Street -- 1st year male Bullock's
Oriole at bird feeder.
Note: Bullock's Oriole is a review species, and there are only a few
state records for it.  I am told it is something of identification
challenge, particularly first year birds.  Until we get more detail
this should be considered unconfirmed (but I hope someone gets up
there to check it out!)

From Dennis Varza:
3/26 - Stamford, Cove Island Park, Holly Pond -- Black-headed Gull

From Paul Cianfaglione:
3/26 -  Farmington, Batterson Pond  -  1 first winter  GLAUCOUS
GULL.  Amazingly, almost all of the ducks have bolted from the pond!!

From Brian Hiller:
3/26 - Storrs, UConn campus, southern end of Horsebarn Hill Rd -- 4
Wilson's Snipe.

From Frank Mantlik:
3/26 - Stratford, Lordship Seawall -- 4pm, 1 NORTHERN GANNET, flying
west.
Oak Bluff Ave., Long Beach - 1500 gulls (60% Ring-billed, 40% Herring)
lining the beach, feeding on freshly washed up slipper shells.

From Jan Collins:
3/26 - South Windsor, Station 43 Marsh -- 10 AM, Pair BLUE-WINGED
TEAL, foraging in the thick vegetation.

From Mike Warner:
3/26 - Westport, Millpond -- 4 Northern Shovelers.

From Olive Wysocki:
3/26 - Durham Meadows - 3 Wilson's Snipe.
Greenbackers Farm pond on Route 68 (west side) -- 2 Snow Geese.

From Dana Campbell:

From Elaine Taylor:
