All appliance amperage draw has to be muliplied by 10 to get amperage needed at 12V. How long do you think you can run a 10 amp AC unit or a 1100 watt stove burner or a micro that draws 10 to 15 amps. You will be easy to find in the anchorage you'll be the one smoking.

To all of which Paul Kruse now writes: I have read that the Vikings were almost never out of sight of land for more than three days during their Atlantic crossings. Looking at a globe, that is very easy to believe. In theory, you could cross the Atlantic in a boat with no more range than about 500 miles.

Trawler or Motor Yahct

Making 50 miles a day is usually an easy 5-6 hours and we generally get to the anchorages or marinas and have cocktails waiting for other trawlers we travel with. When the weather looks to be snotty we don't go. It's all about keeping the Admiral happy....right!!

Re: Some assistance with Ball-Efratom FRK-L Rb Osc. Needed
Wed, Sep 22, 2021 3:09 PM
This is all very easy to do as it's on the top side of the power supply board, and the resistors are mounted on terminals to make them easy to change. My guess is that the FRK's were installed in some larger system that used the external EFC input and when the FRK's were pulled they were not configured properly to be used standalone as I am using them.
