Exterior Teak.....Arrrgh!
Fri, Feb 8, 2008 1:18 PM
A red 3M pad is a good idea to smooth the surface prior to the last two top coats. You can use the Cetol Gloss as a top coat but I didn't. Regards, Randy Pickelmann hard aground in Clearwater MORNING STAR lying in Marathon, FL www.morningstar.talkspot.com

I used the Natural Teak, I have read that some people top coat it with the Cetol gloss but I am happy with the appearance the satin finish of the Natural Teak product. Is there some advantage to top coating with gloss other than the visual aspect. thanks Steve Willett

If a spacer is needed, it is easily identified; just push the filter down into the housing, as far as it can go and look at the top of the center pipe. If the holes that are located in the top sides of the pipe are showing, the spacer is needed.

It's a bit small, compressor in the bottom, solid back, soda can rack in the door, etc. small freezer compartment in the top. I chose this unit cause it fit the space. I set it into the space and was thinking that I would insulate the couple of inches on each side of the space to help out.

I so wish I had that problem, I'm just the opposite, as I age, and back off a little, my top does not shrink, it has expanded! SO - the message - when your top shrinks, if you can, back off a little. Hope it holds until my coffers fill... Time for a bone-dry.

Re: T&T: TV Antenna Recommendations

When Powerboat Reports was still around, they tested all the marine omnidirectional TV antennas and the Naval brand came out on top. It's amplified. I've been using one for 8 years or so and have been very happy with it.

How Much Oil Do You Drain from a Lehmann SP135?
Wed, Oct 12, 2011 9:51 AM
However, when I drain the oil using a Par pump that comes mounted on top of a three gallon pail that I hook up to the spout on the hand pump I only drain about 12 quarts. Even manually using the hand pump afterwards does not drain any additional oil. As info I pierce the top of the oil filter so I believe most of that oil drains into the engine.

Windshild Window Leaks
Wed, Apr 11, 2012 12:11 PM
I don't see it in the catalogues now but squeezing layer after layer into the gap along the bottom and the sides from the outside definitely worked. However, when taking heavy spray, I still get a wee bit of water that has been forced over the top of the glass running down the inside of one window. Any suggestions on how to seal the top?

Retractable Screens
Fri, Sep 21, 2012 8:50 PM
It is mounted on door jamb and mates with a corresponding hole in door top rail. This would interfere with screen mount I think. 2. Retractable screens require both a top and bottom rail in which to run. Do you tend to trip over the bottom rail? 3.Recommend DIY or commercial install? 4.
