TWL: All chain rode lengths

I came to the conclusion that as a Right Coast cruiser all chain rodes were too heavy to carry forward in any decent length. I recently overhauled all my gear and went to 150 ft 3/8" HT BBB spliced to 5/8" Samson high strength nylon braid.

All Refuges Closed

Due to a lapse in appropriations, all U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service lands, including the Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Refuge and Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge, are closed for the duration of the federal government shutdown. All lands and facilities are closed and all programs and activities are cancelled.

You can also [3]get a little fancy: repeat blocks and remove all text to make image "gallery" sections, or do the opposite and remove images for text-only blocks!

Raptor Observations: Red-shouldered Hawks, Red-tailed Hawks, and Northern Harriers all put in a good showing today, coming through in small bunches of up to 5 or 6 birds at a time. One lonely Turkey Vulture, 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk and 2 Cooper's Hawks gave a little more variety to the day.

I lost track of the first PF goose, which was easy to do due to the conditions and the thousands of geese wandering in the fields. I thought I found it in another area and took more pictures.
