FIRE CRACKERS, FRIED CHICKEN AND LANDSCAPES MOG's Gabe Feenan Fires Up the Hot Shop with His Quirky Designs Through Sunday, May 9 <http://museumofglass.cmail3.com/t/y/l/bltkll/kdtyjdkk/r> Gabe Feenan <http://museumofglass.cmail3.com/t/y/l/bltkll/kdtyjdkk/y> has been a gaffer and designer with the MOG Hot Shop Team <http://museumofglass.cmail3.com/t/y/l/bltkll/kdtyjdkk/j> since 2002. He has collaborated with and assisted many artists, but this week he will showcase his personal design series inspired by his American and Filipino heritage. Gabe will kick off his residency experimenting with his current design series of celebratory explosives- <http://i8.cmail3.com/ei/y/AC/A2E/E7A/060339/images/4cylinders.jpg> Cherry Bombs, Firecrackers, Roman Candles, and Jumping Jacks. On Saturday, he will switch gears and make KFC Goblets -red and white striped cups atop drumstick stems. Finally, on Sunday, Gabe will blow large clear cylinders to serve as the 'canvas' for his cane drawings of a water buffalo head and an idyllic Filipino landscape.
