Initially it was perched about 5 feet from the top of the dead spruce tree and later, on the very top. DIRECTIONS: Walk about 50 feet into the parkette and look to the east for 3 tall spruce trees, the bird perches on the top of the dead tree in the middle. An even better look at these three trees can be had from Hickling Ct.

TWL: re: Amenities/mattresses

A top quality 6" latex or foam mattress on top of the slats is superior to an innerspring IMHO. For ultimate luxury, add the Tempurpedic "mattress pad" to the top (it's a 2" thick mattress itself, yummy comfortable)" Several advantages here - first of all you can make your own slat bed at very little cost.

Re: TWL: Need clarification on bleeding air from fuel lines
Wed, Feb 13, 2002 11:15 AM
You crack the tap on the tank side and simply watch for the fuel level to get to the top of the filter cylinder. Replace the top and you are done. No air, no bleed, no separate tank of top-up diesel, and little mess. Return all taps to normal operating position, final check for leaks, and you are off."

The top seems a little heavy....." Frank, I'd sure be concerned about the looks of a four inch diameter pipe that high up on a 43ft boat....Hopefully you can judge proportions from a picture which includes a top & a boat.

When the glass tops off (about 20 seconds afterwards actually) I tell my wife to stop pumping and we've never spilled a drop this way. It does make it a two person operation though. Bill Martin m/v Telegraph Hill http://home.earthlink.net/~martinwj/

Bimini color
Tue, Sep 28, 2010 11:14 PM
Greg, I can't think you'd even questions using a black bimini top!!! You don't even see many if any of them on cars with convertible tops now, do you? While they used to advise NOT buying a black CAR in the far south, at least they are well insulated! Makes little difference what the underside is, it is the black top that will absorb heat!
