I watched the Mississauga Townsend's Solitaire this morning (Thurs.Jan.3)
from 9:04 a.m. till 9:10 a.m. and then briefly again at 9:14 a.m. Initially
it was perched about 5 feet from the top of the dead spruce tree and later,
on the very top.
DIRECTIONS:
Walk about 50 feet into the parkette and look to the east for 3 tall spruce
trees, the bird perches on the top of the dead tree in the middle. An even
better look at these three trees can be had from Hickling Ct. (One street
east of the parkette).
From the Hwy 401 exit at Winston Churchill Boulevard, proceed south to
Derry Road (about 2km). Turn right (west) on Derry Road and at the next
light turn left (south) onto Danton Promenade. Proceed to the end of this
short street at a T-junction with Vanderbilt Road. Directly in front of you
is the entrance to Plumtree Park.
