Re: [time-nuts] FE-5680A's suitability for use as a 10 MHz reference for microwave transverters
Mon, Feb 13, 2012 9:03 PM
In comparison, the 10 MHz outputs of the Z3801, Isotemp VCXO and LPRO-101 yielded results at 10 GHz that were quite clean. Related observations were also made by N8UR in his web page comparing various units.

11/10 - Norwalk Snowy Owl Yes briefly then no!
Mon, Nov 10, 2008 11:59 PM
This was the last time it had been seen throughout The day as I came back several times for additional looks 11:00, 4:40-5:10. I called Larry Flynn who went out onto his boat and was unsuccessful relocating the Owl. Looks as though both the Norwalk and Strattford Snowy Owls have left the area.

, 10/3 - I did something today I've never done before in my life: ran over a bird with my car!

Re: [time-nuts] 5 Mhz to 10 Mhz and 25 Mhz

You can generate just about anything with them. 10 and 25 MHz (plus 1 pps) with multiple outputs of each would be pretty easy. Phase noise / jitter might not be super duper, but how good is your source? What are you driving? It may well be good enough.

Coherent optical clock down-conversion for microwave frequencies with 10^−18 instability
Thu, Jun 4, 2020 11:15 PM
The optical phase measurements between the two Yb clocks at 259 THz indicated a frequency offset (Yb1 - Yb2) of 0.0000064 Hz, and the microwave ~10 GHz comparison was consistent with that offset (2.5 +/- 0.6) x 10-20 (10^-20).

[Ontbirds] Kingston area birds to April 10, 2009
Fri, Apr 10, 2009 1:53 PM
Harriers, a very substantial 57 Rough-legged Hawks, and 10 Red-tails. Interestingly one of the Red-tails was an almost pure white bird and in the same location as the white Gyrfalcon reported last week. In talking to the two people that reported the Gyr it now seems more likely that they in fact saw this white Red-tail along the South Shore Road.
