Re: [time-nuts] Dumb question about SC-cut crystals

I believe the original FCS paper on them was around 1990. Regarding turnover specifically: many 10811 crystals do not have turnovers. Instead they have a broad range of very low (but not zero) tempco. There is nothing magic about being at a turnover other than zero tempco.

so it will either need to be available in different sizes or adapters provided. I don't see any problem with that but it might start to get expensive for home use. When I finally get round to mounting my timing antennas outdoors, so far my little Motorola magnetic patches seem to see an awful lot of sky from indoors, if I can't find a similar adapter that fits I'll probably just use a standard mast clamp arrangement with a 90 degree bracket and fix one of the cheap plastic mounts to that. Not so neat, and a bit more wind resistance, but not too much hassle either:-) regards Nigel

Re: [USRP-users] Mobile phones interrogation using the B210

(I mean you could just jam all frequencies and start a fake BTS and wait for phones to connect but that would also prevent them from working normally at all ....) They're cellphones, not locator beacons ... (at least to anyone which isn't the operator they're registred to) Cheers, Sylvain
