Highlights of reports received May 3 through May 10 from the Niagara Frontier Region include SANDHILL CRANES, MARBLED GODWIT, BLACK VULTURE, CATTLE EGRET, WESTERN MEADOWLARK, WHIP-POOR-WILL and warblers. May 10, a flock of 14 SANDHILL CRANES passed over the Hamburg Hawkwatch.

Ovenaire 10 Mhz oscillator looking for info

Ovenaire-Audio-Carpenter (OAC) Model 84-14 10 Mhz oscillator, s/n 26816-2. This is a 2" x 2" x 3.25" sealed unit which weighs 11.0 ounces. The top has two screws marked Freq Adj coarse and fine, and one brass mounting pillar. The bottom has six solder pins and a coaxial output, probably for the 10 Mhz, and two brass mounting pillars.

Think "Beyond the Bin" This Saturday, May 10

The first event is this Saturday, May 10 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center (3510 S. Mullen Street). Instead of sending your unwanted (but usable) items to the landfill, bring them to our Beyond the Bin collection events and give them a second life.

A little aside – If any of you do go over there and do visit The Sanctuary maybe you could take a few handfuls of seeds for the feeder back there as it is out of seed and with the Island School closed till after Jan 1st the birds will have no seeds at all. It is a scary thing to be mobbed by angry Chickadees looking for food.
