Externals amplifiers for 10-15MHz bandwidth

Hi everybody,

I'm a newcomer to USRP. I have a USRP1 with LFRX and LFTX daughterboards
and I want to use it in the 10-15MHz bandwidth for both transmission and
reception. I am not a very hardware guy and that's why I use a software
radio... But I need to increase the communication range of my USRP. I
think I need an external amplifier on the transmission chain to supply
more power and an external lose-noise amplifier on the reception chain.

Can you tell me if I'm on the right road and if so, do you have advices
for the two amplifiers ?

Thanks in advance

www.minicircuits.com have packaged amplifiers.

Note that transmitting with significant power without a license in the
10-15Mhz band can get some very
mean people on your case in a hurry.
