Single RED-NECKED GREBES were noted on 22 and 26 Apr. Herons were better represented with four species reported this week. Looking with a scope from Beach 1 it is possible to see GREAT EGRETS standing at their nests on High Bluff Island. The high count was 19 on 24 Apr.

Maintenance is seldom on the top of the list either . . . if it runs, it is run. It costs money to shut it down . . . to maintain it. It costs capacity to have a preventative maintenance schedule AND there is no calculatable benefit to the accountant types . . . it is only an expense and not easy to justify until something breaks itself.

Oil Filter Position

By the time you've finished doing this, almost all the oil will have drained out of the filter back into the sump. Wrap a rag around the top (aka bottom or base) of the filter and unscrew it. The rag should catch the bit of oil that will still be in the filter. Put the filter into a plastic bag immediately.

Suzanne Angelaccio finished in the top 25% of all females, top 35% of her age group, and top 45% overall as well as top 50% swim, top 50% bike, and an amazing #16 overall (out of 347) in T1… Great work, Suzanne! We’re going to have to have you join the Beauchamps for our next “Transitions clinic”!
