Just a reminder that the 6th annual New Haven Migration Festival is coming up next weekend, Sunday, September 21st. This is a great event for birders of all experience levels and their families. Come explore the wonders of migration at New Haven's Lighthouse Point Park, one of Connecticut's 26 Important Bird Areas. This year's event will again feature live birds of prey from Wind Over Wings and an amazing free flight falconry demonstration from Brain Bradley's Skyhunters in Flight. Last year his Gyrfalcon attracted the attention of a wild Merlin, which made for some excitement in the skies.
Complete details and schedule are now up on the New Haven Bird Club's website...thanks to John Triana for putting that up.

The event also features a 'bird in flight' identification seminar courtesy of COA, as well as bird banding, monarch tagging and a caterpillar display.
This event is free. There is no rain date.
