Re: [time-nuts] 32768 Hz from 10 MHz

By comparison, all the decimal dividers (1 Hz, 10 Hz, etc.) that you and I do are trivial because of the common factors with the 10 MHz clock. It's just that 32,768 has no factors of 5. Read the comments in the file 10m32k.c for more details. I'm curious how a 10 MHz-driven high-end DDS would generate 32 kHz with the lowest possible jitter? /tvb

Re: Ublox NEO-M8T-0-10as a LO question

BTW, even the Bodnar unit may not look too good at 10 GHz -- remember that you increase phase noise by 20 dB for 10 times multiplication. John On 3/29/21 12:25 PM, Chris Wilson wrote: > > > 29/03/2021 17:20 > > Can I use my Ublox NEO-M8T-0-10 as a LO for a modified satellite LNB on 10 GHz?

Re: About 10 MHz Optical Distro

Is -130 dbc/ Hz at 10 Hz a requirement? Is -100 dbc / Hz at 1 Hz the target? Is 1x10^-12 at 1 second “good enough” ADEV? How about 1x10^-13 at 10 seconds ….. Keep in mind that these are system floor numbers. The real signal “as delivered” isn’t going to ever be as good as the system floor.
