NYT articles on Cicadas
Thu, Jun 13, 2013 8:38 PM
After all our recent chatter about cicadas, here's the group of NYTimes articles about our Brood II and the 15 remaining broods. Nice graphics & maps. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/science/a-century-of-cicadas.html A Century of Cicadas Periodical cicadas live underground for 17 or 13 years before emerging to sing, mate and die.

We all benefit from these efforts. Back to filter we have dissected a FRK and a M100 and are convinced that there is a room for a filter, in case of the FRK, very easy. Corby used a M100, in my opinion more of a challenge. Will not try it.

Leaking diesel fuel tank
Mon, Jun 20, 2005 11:04 AM
Charles Cullota has a good write-up on his website covering his fix for leaking tanks. http://www.geocities.com/charlesculotta/1024index.html I faced the same situation last fall and ended up replacing all four tanks with new aluminum tanks. I can now sleep well knowing the fuel is in the tanks rather than the bilge.

New Model VHF Radio
Wed, Feb 15, 2017 6:05 AM
I have a then top of the line Icom IC-M127 VHF that is probably 15 years old. It works fine but does not have any of today's improvements. It does not even have a DSC "distress" button. The reason I have never purchased a new VHF is because all radios since then have been smaller.
