Force 10 Direct Vent Heaters
Fri, Oct 29, 2004 1:48 AM
This new one from Force 10 seems to fit the bill. Anyone have any experience with these, or know of where I can get a bargain on them? Frederick Corey S/V Orca Duxbury, Massachusetts

10 Sandhill Cranes Fairfield Flyover
Mon, Nov 23, 2020 7:08 PM
We had 10 sandhill cranes flyover Black Rock turnpike today about 1:15pm. This was at the intersection of Stillson and Black Rock Turnpike over Wild Birds Unlimited. They were quite vocal and heading northwest. Chris Petherick Fairfield, Fairfield County Sent from my iPhone

I suppose one can handle this two ways - use a DDS > clocked with the 20 MHz VCXO to generate a 10 MHz signal and phase > compare (at 10 MHz) this with the input 10 MHz to steer the VCXO to lock > with the Rb 10 MHz input as adjusted by the DDS NCO.

Have 10 MHz need 19.2 MHz
Fri, Jun 7, 2013 5:23 PM
Double the 10 MHz to 20 MHz.   With another circuit of 74HC390’s divide 10 MHz to 200 KHz.  Then double it twice to 800 KHz with LM 1496 DBM’s.  Apply the two frequencies to a LM 1496 DBM and use a LPF to get the 19.2 MHz.   Hardware complicated?  A bit.

Re: [time-nuts] pps vs. 10 MHz timing

The 10 MHz CMOS output goes high just > shortly before the 1 PPS. > > What do other GPSDOs do? You can expect anything. Some buffers the PPS from the GPS engine and then make some more or less elaborate 10 MHz training algorithm. Don't expect rising edges to coinside for all of them.
