another book CT birds 1877
Thu, Feb 18, 2016 2:02 PM
Hi All, I just found another historical CT birds book. This is a much longer read, it covers almost 300 species in CT, includes many arrival dates of migrants. This book may be more useful for entering into ebird, or for other historical purposes.

Moldy Lines

You can take the lines off the boat and launder them in a washing machine (use a coin-operated launderette rather than your own machine). If it's not convenient to do that, clean them in situ with Uncle Bob's all-purpose mould and algae cure: Liquid swimming pool chlorine.

"jitter" and "wander" is just like "flutter" and "wow" terms coined a little from how they where perceived for different effects, but they all relate to phase variations. I would either avoid them, or use them with care after defining them according to what best fits your needs. "In this thesis jitter is defined as... while wander is defined as...".

The other side of the coin is that if you learn something new about oscillators and their behavior and the supporting electronics circuitry then $500 is a cheap educational seminar .
