TWL: Cuba Travel Tips Rev2

You must understand that, in Cuba, all staples are provided through ration depots and paid for in pesos. Luxuries are only acquired from "dollar stores" at seemingly outrageous prices and quality.

TWL: Thermocube - Thermostatically controlled outlet
Wed, Oct 17, 2001 8:51 PM
Used a line thermostat, dual three-prong outlet with GFI, heavy duty three-prong plug and wired all that inside a large wall-outlet/switch box. Cost a wee bit more than 14.99 - just a wee bit more....

Re: T&T: Battery Chargers & Inverters

My main selector switches all break the neutral. The on ly exception to this is the 30 amp breaker on the main shore power cord. That has a very direct run (24 inches) to the isolation transformer. While double- pole breakers are readily available (I use one as the genset disconnect), I c ould not see any justification for breaking both legs.

Wonder where you got that one ;-) http://www.leapsecond.com/museum/10544/ I scanned and posted that in 2001; but didn't check the manual against an actual 10544 oscillator. Should be close enough for a repair, though. /tvb http://www.LeapSecond.com

Since several of you have mentioned the 10811, or how the 10544 differs from the 10811, you will find the original HP Journal article about the 10811 very informative. And many of us have families to tend to, jobs to work on top of the rehab work. Knowing that at least 90% of what comes into rehab is due to conflicts with human activity, most of which are preventable, I do endeavor to educate the public at every opportunity.
