Boat Bugs
Thu, Aug 10, 2006 7:18 PM
Hello All, Since even insects need oxygen one could buy a few pounds (maybe 10?) of dry ice, place it in the bilge and vacate the boat for a day. When you return remember to open up the boat and run the blowers and fans for a while before going inside. I bet the bugs all die. This would also be useful if you were leaving the boat for a while.

Again IMHO, If I bought a used 3208 engine, I would get a new top cover gasket and remove the fuel houshing top cover and inspect for the presence of water/foreign material. It's an easy opperation and only requries making sure you line up the governor control links when you reinstall the cover. Refer to servied manual.
