TWL: Re: Please Don Not Buy Watts Vales
Mon, Dec 18, 2000 3:45 AM
If I understood your post and the website their price for the part you want is between US$45 and $50. Interestingly enough, the site lists their international agents but doesn't show one in Asia at all. They do, however seem to have a manufacturing plant in China. I've got no connection to Watts. In fact I'd never heard of them before reading your post.

World Shorebirds Day
Wed, Sep 4, 2019 12:37 AM
It's a really great cause and it's incredibly easy to participate. All you need to do is share eBird lists with ANY shorebirds with the account: WorldShorebirdsDay. That's it. Count period is today, September 3rd through Sept 9th. Anywhere you are over the next 6 days, please enter data if you are able!

. > Sure.. cake pans, like other stamped goods, are actually pretty high precision, because they're all stamped out of the same die. As long as the dimensions are right (and for choke rings that's not real critical), it works.

Charles Island
Thu, Jan 5, 2017 9:18 PM
It took about 20 years for all of the trees to die from the bird droppings. As the trees died they were replaced in the off-season by man-made nesting structures. Today the island has no trees but still is home to hundreds of occupied nests. See the attached link for photos. Allan Welby Ridgefield http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20110516/news/705169957/

At this point all that's important to me is that people *understand* the risk.  Caddiy asked about rumors of Python safety problems, so I replied. I think we can let that subtopic die now.

I must, however, check my Racors often (especially on start up and when not having operated for awhile) and bleed out any water that accumulates, which is easy and simple to do. My last boat, I had for eleven years and 1800 hours, with black iron tanks and top feed lines, and I never had any water in my Racor filter.
