Oil Re-use - comments
Mon, Jun 29, 1998 2:35 PM
Your engines will never die OR wear out due to your oil. 2. If you change this oil at 500 hours (which would be way early), it's a once-a-year deal for almost everyone on this List. Anyone can drain oil once a year...and dispose of it properly. Re-read Jerry Munson's post about this..first class. 3.

Re: TWL: Hull Laminate Construction

No question a same weight lay up of "better" construction will be a tiny bit stiffer , and might not flex as much , but the same hassles occur , flex and die. This is the reason old "racing" sailboats get scrapped , they flex when pressed hard , for a while , then the hull fails.

TWL: Uneven Idle rpm
Sun, Sep 21, 2003 4:26 PM
To start the engine when cold, now I have to give it some throttle so it won't die. Once it has run for a few minutes then, a consistent up-and-down variation in rpm occurs when bellow 900 rpms. The problem goes away at about 1000 rpm or gets somewhat reduced when I put the engine in gear.

The south bay has no fuel docks as that is where boats go to die, >most being slip-huggers. Ancor sells a crimp tool which has an adjustable die and a single round nosed pin impression. This is my preference since it does allow yo uto adjust for a mismatch of lugs and wires. Another solution is to add extra strands to fil the space inside the crimp barrel befoer crimping down.

Buy American and other Misconceptions

If you can't compete...........then figure out how to compete........else curl up and die. I am extremely interested in opinions from our extremely bright forum members (I am not being a smart a**). I would not know how to be in the manufacturing business if it meant having to eventually compete with the upcoming China wave.......that is coming.

I keep thinking this 15" will die and I can upgrade to a larger screen, but it still works super after 5 years...so I guess I will hang in there with it. Re: T&T: 100 ton license definition ?

This general topic area doesn't seem to be able to die a decent death, so here is some additional trivia to hurt your brain. Gross tonnage is a measurement of the overall internal volume of the vessel. The interpretation of this definition is subject to some variation by the various maritime countries and agencies.

Most gasoline engines die of neglect rather than overuse. If you are kind to your engines, you should get 3000 hours without trouble. Larry Z ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
