TWL: SABB Owners and wannabes
Sun, Mar 5, 2000 12:35 AM
Actually, Sabb UK consists of two 'crusty' mechs who appear to have worked on Sabb diesels all of their life. We visited them last year when we were in England and bought a spare prop and other bits and pieces from them. These guys really know the Sabb, and they will give you technical advice.

Double Crimp Ratchet Tool-how to use question
Sat, Dec 19, 2009 4:28 AM
When placing the terminal into the appropriate color-coded nest make sure the area to be crimped onto the exposed wire strands is opposit the colored dot and on the smooth arc side of the die. The opposite colored dot side of the die with the indent in each cavity is designed to put the second crimp in the insulation portion of the wire."

I would hate to get to Floridas coast in the dark, the crab trap bouys are all over, starting at about 30' deep on in. Rich Gano told me about the Storm surf weather site and we use it all the time, so far it has not been wrong. We enjoy Apalachicola and Tarpon springs so don't mind waiting for a really good forecast.

But I would sure like to get to the bottom > of all this and BTW a HEX on the guy who convinced me to use Biobor! > George, The Biobor didn't cause the problem. The problem (heavy infestation/colonization of bacteria) was already there. It would have continued to grow and eventually "die off" causing your filters to plug.

A Cautionary Tale or the worst possible luck
Sat, Jul 7, 2007 6:02 PM
Tank had a several inch long split in the top and was under a leaky deck. They got all that taken care of and were moving the boat to get fuel. Engine would die when shifting gears. Last restart attempt was accompanied by very ugly sound from the engine room.
