Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American G.I. One died for you soul; ~ the other for your freedom.

But if you have one, and it's sacrificable, give it a try - a cooler with some dry ice, and put the circuit above the dry ice, and it will cool slowly

It puzzles me that the author seems worried about the number of migrants that die each year striking lighthouses, yet he seems a bit thrilled having shot birds for specimens. I know, shooting was fairly common pre 1900's. http://search.lib.virginia.edu/catalog/001515940 Melissa Baston

Another Threat To Birds

The lights caused the following to die from exhaustion after being attracted to the lights. 10 Eared Grebes, 1 Cassin’s Vireo, 1 Yellow Warbler, 24 Wilson;s Warblers, 4 MacGilvray’s Warblers and 2 Chipping Sparrows. And this just from one rig. Multiply that by the total number of rigs out there! This happened in Wyoming. Paul Desjardins Windsor Locks

It’s hard to fathom up to 1 BILLION birds per year, in US only, die from these collisions. It’s even harder to fathom that 4x this amount are killed by feral cats.
