TWL: Amenities

While we have all the air pimp gear, I haven't plumbed them into place. Our sales rep assembled the mattress while we were enroute to pickup the boat (bless him -- it had been a long day). Whatever pressure he had pumped into it was fine with us. That was four-plus months ago, and we haven't 'topped it off' or anything. One unexpected plus.

On my house, the feed / takout as well > as > the pressure relief valve are all on the top of the tank. Even with a dip > tube internal, getting air from the houses hot water tank is easy.

8D Batteries - on the plus side
Fri, Feb 1, 2008 10:35 AM
The batteries are simply slid into place with no top access needed. That space configuration could not be utilized by batteries which need servicing (water or terminals), and/or have terminals at each end. Heavy? Sure, but that's what hired help is for. Besides, at my age I need all the exercise I can get!

Re: [time-nuts] Acquired a Symmetricom 5817A-05Q / Power connector Question

Not that you really need it, just looking at the pictures you can see the schematic since it's all on top. To try to answer your actual question that looks much like a broken off SMB or similar connector.

The first is used were access is pretty easy, and there is a large amount of metal on the top of the frame to be removed. The cutting torch is used, heating the top of the extra bit of metal.

Re: T&T: New thread? Fuel prices and effect it will have
Wed, Dec 29, 2010 9:26 PM
On the other side of the coin, those with money are younger and time is still money to them so they want a boat that goes faster. I am out of luck both ways. So, if diesel becomes $5.00 a gallon what will happen to trawler sales? I am old enough to remember the fuel availability and price problems of the 70's and 80's.
