Burndy has a rotating die set which match the color code on the Burndy terminals. It doesn't suit crimp connectors from other sources.

If I die aboard, so be it. Better than in a bed. This recently discovered quote applies: "How soon a ship can age and die for want of the love of a human being." --Peter Gerard-- Jerry & Barb O'Neill GB 32 ADVENTURE Annapolis MD

Re: T&T: Double Crimp Ratchet Tool-how to use question

When placing the terminal into the appropriate color-coded nest make sure the area to be crimped onto the exposed wire strands is opposit the colored dot and on the smooth arc side of the die. The opposite colored dot side of the die with the indent in each cavity is designed to put the second crimp in the insulation portion of the wire."

Hi The thermal fuses die on their own far more often than they die protecting anything. The fuse is there to provide safety is certain odd situations. The simple answer these days is to replace it with a piece of wire.

[Ontbirds]Little Blue Heron in Port Rowan
Mon, Apr 28, 2008 10:31 PM
An immature Little Blue Heron is currently in the pond beside Bird Studies Canada's Headquarter office in Port Rowan. The bird is predominently white, but is in transitional plumage with many blue feathers, giving it a mottled appearance. The bird was first spotted briefly this morning at Old Cut banding station by Ted Matterford, but had apparently not been resighted until now. BSC's office is located at the western end of Port Rowan along Front Street. The pond is visible from the observation deck on the south-west corner. To reach Port Rowan, you can take highway 59 south and turn east of Front Street. BSC's office is a few hundred meters from highway 59, on the south side of Front Street. This google map link provides the location: http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=bird+studies+Canada&sll=49.8 91235,-97.15369&sspn=23.77254,59.765625&ie=UTF8&ll=42.627391,-80.463181&spn= 0.052921,0.11673&z=13 Happy spring!
