Re: [pjsip] Running pjsua on Windows Mobile connected with ActiveSync
Sun, Jul 19, 2009 9:40 AM
I tried to do it from the emulator and it didn't work even though I could access regular websites. I've also succeeded accessing websites when the device is connected to the computer through device manager center (I have Vista), but I couldn't connect to the SIP server. Also TCP doesn't work. Not only UDP.

Re: [CT Birds] NM die-off - a hypothesis

She began by simply synthesizing what we already knew about the recent massive die-off of birds in New Mexico, but she ended up collecting first-hand data and forming a robust hypothesis.

Warning-Mobile Bay
Sat, Jul 11, 2009 12:17 PM
Morning All, Life's2Short just crossed Mobile Bay and is headed north on the Tenn-Tom. Yesterday as we were headed across the bay at low tide we saw what appeared to be a large barnacle encrusted stump or pole or iron post.

I first met one (from Ebay) in 2003 that was a casualty of the Enron collapse (no kidding, the GPS location in the EEPROM was the Enron building in Houston according to Google Earth) and played with it then to monitor another disciplined Rb here for a while. -- Dave Emery N1PRE, die@dieconsulting.com DIE Consulting, Weston, Mass 02493 "An empty zombie

And system designers had better start thinking about very local jamming of GPS timing receivers at targeted sites that might cause a vital system (say public safety radio) to degrade or fail. -- Dave Emery N1PRE/AE, die@dieconsulting.com DIE Consulting, Weston, Mass 02493 "An empty zombie mind with a forlorn barely readable weatherbeaten 'For Rent' sign

Mobile marinas
Mon, Apr 10, 2006 7:39 PM
It's a great place to buy CLEAN fuel since it's where all the tow boats have to refuel and they pump an incredible amount of fuel/month! Dog River Marina, south of Mobile, is in operation now and across the Bay, my favorite, Eastern Shore Marine on Fly Creek in Fairhope is in full operation.

mobile marinas
Mon, Apr 10, 2006 12:13 PM
As Skipper Bob said, downtown Mobile has no recreational marinas. I know of 2 people that miscalculated that last days trip down the Tenn-Tom in both distance and time because they misinterpeted the information that the Dog River marina's were at mile 0 of the Tenn-Tom. Mile 0 is downtown Mobile, and the marinas are still 14 to 15 miles down Mobile bay.
